Effects of Discrimination

People all over the world are suffering from different kinds of problems and some are even threatening their lives. Discrimination leads to two negative effects such as uncomfortable life and demonstrations.

The first effect of discrimination that will be discussed is the uncomfortable life. Many people in differenet societies are facing many difficulties that prevent them from living a comfortable life, as many of them do not have the opportuninty to have their own jobs or suffering from some kind of bad deal. Discrimination is the main reason for this issue. For example, becasue of race discrimination many black people and even Arabs are suffering from the uncomfortable life, which is being caused by this kind of discrimination. I discoverd from the article which I read about on BBC website is that nowadays black people in the UK are living in a stressful enviroment with full of unfair laws against their freedom. According to BBC news, "People of African and Caribbean descent are around five times more likely to be stopped and searched as white people. Thay also make up a much higher proportion in prison than might be expected in the general population", so black people are more likely to be caught by the UK goverment. Moreover, Arabs in the USA are suffering from the bad relationship between them and other Americans especially after the events of September 11. Americans really deal with Arabs negatively. According to questia website, "Most of the discrimination experienced by Muslim Americans was of non-violent nature, and included bad looks , verbal abuse, as well as social isolation "(http://www.questia.com/PMqst?a=o+se=gglsc+d=5007672486). Therefore, Arabs face the same problem as black people face in the UK so they are really suffering from the lack of justice.

Another effect of discrimination is demonstrations. Many demonstrations exist in different parts of the world. Demonstrations are the main way that the public use to express their feelings and show their disagreement against the goverment. Many people in different parts made these regional demonstrations for forcing the goverment to achieve their desire especially if they are suffering from some kinds of problems. For example, because of gender discrimination, women in different parts of the world have to use demonstrations as a way to voice opposition against the goverment's policy. Women in the world are demonstrating against unfair laws and unemployment. For instance, women in Iran are demonstrating against some Islamic laws, as those women believe that these laws called Hudood laws threaten their effective position in the society. Consequently, these women need to have opportunity to express their issue in courts freely as man. Therefore, there is dicrimination between genders that made Iranian women feel angry with this law and demonstrare, as they believe hopefully that the goverment will use the best solution for this kind of discrimination. Besides demonstrating against unfair laws, other women are suffering from unemployment. Officers in some societies especially in Iran kick them out from their jobs as the goverment gives much more opportunities for men to join different kinds of jobs. Beacause of that, many Iranian women demonstrate against this kind of unfair deal. According to Iranfocus website,"Demonstrators said they saw some women being detained and dragged away by officers"(http://www.iranfocus.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2374), so Iranian women made this demonstrations as they are aware of their rights. By the way, discrimination is the main factor of these demonstrations.

In conclusion, discrimination leads to two neagative effects such as uncomfortable life and demonstrarions. In my point of view discrimination is such an unprecented problem that every body should pay attention to it by working positively to solve and examine this issue. Equalization is the appropriate solution to avoid this problem. Finally, I also think that the main goal of solving this problem will reduce its bad effects by living in a comfortable life and decreasing the number of demonstrations.

Final draft

The development of the modern day computer was the result of advances in technologies and man's need to quantify information. The word computer referred once to a person who used to do calculations and computations in his head. During the 20th century, that particular word was referred to a developed machine, which carried out all sorts of computations. It began from a "castle clock" invented by Al Jazari (http://www.muslimheritage.com/topics/default.cfm?ArticleID=899) to a "textile loom" invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard (http://www.ideafinder.com/history/inventions/jacquard.htm). Throughout time the idea was taken to a high sort of level. Wilhelm Schickard's 1623 device was the first of a number of mechanical calculators constructed by European engineers, but none fit the modern definition of a computer, because they could not be programmed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/computer). Also the American scientist Vannevar Bush built a mechanically operated device, called a differential analyzer, in 1930; it was the first general-purpose analog computer http://www.infoplease.com/ce6/sci/A0857507.html. Until it reached to this improved device you see in most households and work places. Computers arose in the 1970s. They are the widest spread technology in the world. Computers have become indispensable in today’s world. Millions of people use computers all over the world.Computers have been a great help, especially in work places. For example, before employees used to handle a lot of paper work some papers get lost and some ruined, and even some get stolen. Computers have changed that, now all an employee has to do is type in data into a certain system where it can be saved. This way it cannot be tampered with and it would be very easy to find. It saves the employees and the computers so much time. Moreover, internet accomplished a lot of jobs where you browse through more information than you can do in libraries in which computers can store enormous amount of information. Although the internet has enabled a lot of people to study other people's culture and traditions in several ways; one major way is the chatting software which enables one to chat with an other person in a fast way; emails also help you to communicate with a person sitting thousands of miles away from your home and are used nowadays in paying bills and sending forums.
Computers have developed and changed a lot of things in business. For example, computer software is used in shops and supermarkets for calculating bills, loans and bills can be paid, trades also can be done online. It has been so very important that even companies pay a lot of money to make their workers take a course in ICDL, which is the study of how to use a computer, as do most of the universities. Even old people I know take that test, because they are curious. They want to know how it works and what it does, which I find very exhilarating! The computer has organized simple procedures. Computers have taken the human society into a higher league. It is used in each and every aspect of human life. Nowadays it is difficult to imagine a home without a computer or internet. Computers are cheap, easy, fast, and accurate. They have improved our lifestyle and until this day they are working on extending their features for a better future.

LSEC N100Research skills 3 – Report and MLA referencing (10%)

These days several rich high classed people enjoy having sports cars such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, and Bugatti. There are a lot of differences between each car mentioned. Some differences are in quality, performance, shape and design and also the price itself. Similarities and differences between Bugatti and Porsche will be discussed in this essay.

Some couple similarities between the Bugatti and the Porsche 911 Turbo. The first similarity is that both of them are sport cars. Secondly, both of them are rich people firsts desire and choice for their high quality. Lastly, both cars have 2 seats and a back engine which was built by a European country.

On the other hand there are some differences. Firstly, the Bugatti can reach from 0 - 60 in 2.5 seconds while the Porsche 911 turbo can reach it in 3.6 seconds (http://Autoblog.com/category/porsche). Secondly, the Bugatti is way more expensive than the Porsche which costs around 1.6 million dollars while the Porsche costs 143,800 dollars (http://www.porsche.com/international/models/911/911-turbo/). The third difference is that the torque of the Bugatti is 952 pound feet (http://Bugatti-configurator.com) and the Porsche torque is 457 pound feet.

We Conclude that the Bugatti is more powerful than the Porsche 911 as well as in the design it is superior, but in my own opinion I see that the Bugatti is the dream car for all sports car fans but the problem is that its manufacture is limited and it's highly expensive while in the other hand the Porsche has excellent features and performance and its price could be affordable and could be bought easily which make it more widely spread than the Bugatti.
